Megan Wyeth

Megan WyethEven after 30 years of making photographs MEGAN WYETH is still intrigued and amazed by the process.

“As we look through the camera and lens we see shapes, forms, light, value and color and begin to arrange these elements. Intuition takes over and that inner knowing completes the picture. I think of this arranging as exploring or opening doors. Each subject presents itself.”

To Megan making a photograph is much more than the recording of a fact that is in front of the camera. Stunning and beautiful light, radiant and glowing light, sharp or low or even the absence of light creates the form. Itʼs magic. Megan loves photographing the alive and ever changing natural world and her passion for this has remained steady over the years. Megan studied photography and art history at the Kansas City Art Institute and the University of Kansas. She has exhibited over the years and is a part of many corporate and personal art collections. Megan has taught art, worked as a freelance commercial photographer and published books.
